The life of J. Wade Hannon

Wade was born and raised in a town of 460 people in Southeast Kansas (Edna) . The town was stifulling for someone who was "different." (Being different and not fitting-in have been constant themes in Wade's life.)
Wade's father, James Leonard Hannon, was a Journeyman Wireman (an Electrician) who was a life long James, Wade's father, with Carmen at a young agemember of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union and through this he learned the basics of standing-up to injustice. Virginia Lee, the mother of Wade, was a wait-person until Wade was in the 11th grade, when she went to Beauty College and became a Beautician.

At heart, Wade considers himself a child of the working-class. Today, even with his doctoral degree, even being a tenured-professor at a state university, he is still a class-conscious worker. Wade aims to assist in brining down capitalism and installing a humane society.

Wade had two siblings growning up, a younger brother, Justin, & a younger sister, Lara. Justin and Wade have a very close relationship. Justin still lives in the Southeast Kansas area, in Cherryvale, Kansas.

Wade has two lovely children, Carmen, aged 24, who is working on her Masters in Library Science at SUNY-Buffalo, and Adam, aged 16 and an 11th-grader at Moorhead High. Carmen, when she is not at school, enjoys baking, art, mythological creatures, and movies. Adam is an avid musician that plays tennis and has recently joined his school's wrestling team. Wade and his children are very close to each even though they do not see each other as often as they would like
